The teacher was known as "Big Tam".
He used to straighten the lines with his wooden hand!

The people I recognise are: 2nd from big Tam along back row is Walter Wardlow, 5th from big Tam along the back row and the tallest is me James (Jimmy) Graham, 6th along and next to me is John Borland, farthest to the right on the back row is Robert (Rab) Bell, on the left in the front row in front of big Tam is John Bell.
