A great shot of High Blantyre Cross facing towards Springwells, taken around 1915. Douglas Street, now widened and forming the feeder road to the East Kilbride Expressway, is on the right. The Station Cafe tenement has been demolished, as have the white tenements to the right of it, although Carrigan's pub still stands, and some of Blantyre's old milestones can be seen inside it.
