Blantyre Scotland

I wrote this poem on an empty fag packet on my 18th Birthday, in a Pub in Blackpool.

Profound Thoughts

A man may die, a Man may live,
What care I, I'm just a myth.
People love and people hate,
All I do is deteriorate.

Children laugh and play their game,
A long time ago, I was the same.
Today 'tis different 'cos I'm a fake,
What'll happen to me, what is at stake?
My World, My Life, My Happiness?
To tell the truth, I couldn't care less.

A boy, he lives his life of dreams,
I try, but life is not what it seems.
It's full of love and hate and war,
Too much for me to be thankful for.

I tried I think, to make it work,
Too hard sometimes, the message sticks.
Tomorrow, the dawn, another day,
What will I do? What will I say?
Save my World? Save my Life?
Save my Happiness?
Whatever is left, I'll do my best.

Bill
