Hi Bill, this photograph of my Grandad, Robert Forrest, with his horse Hector, was taken at Ferniegair, Hamilton around 1931, by a photographer who was fascinated watching Hector drink from a shovel held under a tap. Grandad worked at that time for a building contractor called Wright. He was given several copies of the photograph, and it is interesting to note that these, like many photographs of the period, were printed on paper which was printed on the reverse, to allow use as a postcard. I wonder if any of your site visitors know where, at Ferniegair, this watering point is.
