Ma poem fur ma sel'
Thoughts
A love tae hear ma scottish tongue
A love the lilt sae brawley sung,
It fills ma hert an' heid an' ears
Wi proodness doon thru a' ma years.
Ave lived in Scotland a' ma life
Some days wir easy, some hid strife,
Ma heritage means a lot tae me
A want tae see ma Country free.
A widna' want tae bide awa'
Or leave ma ain wee Maw an' Paw
Wha lie amang their Scottish grun
In wind an' rain an' Scottish sun.
